14 killed in Nepal plane crash
8 Nepalese, 4 American, 1 British and 1 Japanese were killed when their small plane were crashed in the mountains around Everest area. Looks like the crash occur because the extreme weather conditions.
According with the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority, the fly was travelling between Katmandu and the small city of Lukla at the southeast. Time after taking off from the Nepal capital airport, the plane has to go back because the of the difficult weather conditions in the area, and lost radio contact with the airport controllers.
The accident was in Makwanpur area, 100 kilometres at the southeast from Katmandu, in the Everest region.
The Nepal Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the starting rescue operations for recover the 14 killed bodies.
The plane was taking land in the middle of one storm during the early morning, when the accident occur; however the real causes from the accident are not clear yet and the local authorities, the airline company and Boeing are stated immediately the investigation.
There is one mortal victim from the accident, and apparently because a hard attack produced during the accident, 6 are badly injuries and were move to Colombian capital Bogota, and the other ones register small injuries and are in the local hospital under medical checking.
Boeing says that the 737-700 is operating since 2003, but is unclear if Aires is the only airline taking care for the plane during this period.
